The Dispositions of Leadership: Cultivating Spaces and Mindsets of Inquiry and STEM

Lifting up the voices of educators who are not afraid of taking risks, finding innovation within the systems we are given and connecting a global network and audience are all attributes of what’s behind the publication, STEMED Magazine. I’m always an advocate for getting other educators into one another’s classrooms, and this magazine does just that! I love the dialogue, the sharing of thinking and creative ways that educators are sharing more about their practice and the impact that it’s having on their learning communities.

In the magazine’s 6th issue, I’ve written an article that highlights some thoughts (and an early release of one of the sketches that will be included in my upcoming book, Leading with a Lens of Inquiry) on the roles and mindsets of leaders. As with most of my sharing, the piece includes several questions to consider, nudging you towards reflection and action. Whether you are a leader of a program, school or classroom, I encourage you to take a read, download the sketch and share your take aways!

I’m including the article here and highly encourage you to consider getting the full publication for further reading and inspiration. I know I’ve enjoyed the variety of contributions to the magazine as well as some of there STEM resources for the classroom and am confident you will too!
