Instructional Coaching Conference 2022: Press Play

I’m really excited to share that I will be presenting at Region 13’s Instructional Coaching Conference: Press Play this summer. This event was one of the very first I attended when I stepped outside of the classroom and into a leadership role. This two day event is packed with keynotes and sessions focused on student centered coaching and the nuances of the influence instructional coaches have in their role, think tank opportunities to connect with other leaders to brainstorm, share experiences and learn from one another.

Last summer I presented at this event as a way to beta test some ideas and core concepts from one of the first chapters I was working on for Leading with a Lens of Inquiry. Some of these ideas now proudly live in chapter two of the publication (and you can catch my presentation last year right here!) and have transformed themselves into additional chapters and sketches in the book. Looking back on it now, even if no one else knew it, it was such a critical stage for me in the process of writing and sharing more of it with a larger audience.

That said, returning to this event with a physical book in hand will be quite something for me this year and I’d love for you to be a part of it too! If you’re in a leadership position or if this is area in which you’d like to grow, I highly encourage you to consider attending this event connecting with other coaches and leaders alike (don’t forget to come and say hi!).

Leading with a Lens of Inquiry: Exploring the Dispositions of Powerful Leadership

Inquiry is teaching practice that is used as a framework for learning in our classrooms, but what happens when leaders use this philosophy as a mindset to lead & inspire their teachers? In this session, we’ll explore the seven dispositions of an inquiry leader, identifying how these attributes empower all learners. You’ll walk away with a clearer picture of who you are as a leader and a tangible guide to next steps that honor your own professional practice as well as those that you serve.
